England confirm final friendlies before Euro 2024
England will face Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iceland in their final preparations for the Euro 2024 tournament in June.
The Three Lions will head to Germany hoping to go one step further than the delayed Euro 2020 when they were beaten on penalties in the final by Italy at Wembley.
With the tournament due to start on the 14th June, England will face Bosnia-Herzegovina at St James' Park on 3 June before taking on Iceland at Wembley on the 7th.
The game on Tyneside will be the first time England have faced Bosnia-Herzegovina, whilst fans will no doubt still remember their embarassing exit to relative minnows Iceland in Euro 2016, which marked the end of Roy Hodgson's tenure as manager.
Whether either of these sides will be joining England at the tournament remains to be seen as they both face play-off matches next month to secure their places.
Since manager Gareth Southgate has been in charge England have reached at least the quarter finals in their last three major tournaments, going out in the last eight to France at the Qatar 2022 World Cup following their Euros final and World Cup semi-final defeat to Croatia in 2018.
