Fantastic Fanatics announce partnership with Linfield
Linfield FC have announced a new partnership with Fantastic
Fanatics and Greater Village Regeneration Trust.
Fantastic Fanatics is an online and in-store retail platform
which enables football fans to raise money for their club through their
everyday shopping. Fans who register through the online platform will generate
funds for Linfield FC whenever they spend with any of the affiliated retailers.
The Fantastic Fanatics concept provides football clubs with
additional income to put to good use. Linfield FC members, supporters and their
families are encouraged to sign up to the initiative. Proceeds generated via
the site will be put to good use in supporting the local community in South
Belfast.
Linfield FC is rooted within the South Belfast community and
will utilise the funds generated to directly benefit the work of the Greater
Village Regeneration Trust (GVRT). The Trust is dedicated to improving the
social and economic conditions within South Belfast and it runs a range of
thematic programmes and initiatives with the over-arching aim of achieving
sustainable regeneration. Every penny raised from the Fantastic Fanatics
initiative will help to support this work.
Speaking on the new partnership with Fantastic Fanatics, the
club’s General Manager, Pat Fenlon stated:
“We are really pleased to partner with Fantastic Fanatics and
the Greater Village Regeneration Trust. Our loyal supporters can help us to
raise much needed funds for the local communities surrounding Windsor Park
where we are proud to be based. We have been delighted to assist with this work
in the past and this new partnership will push these efforts to a higher level.
Fantastic Fanatics Operations Director, Barry Munro said:
“We are delighted to have such an innovative and pioneering
club such as Linfield FC onboard and are pleased to play a part in helping
raise funds to help meet the club’s goals and objectives, including generating
funds for the amazing GVRT initiative. Hopefully, Fantastic Fanatics can
generate new, substantial, and regular funds for the club and GVRT in these
challenging times for sport and football clubs across the country.
“The technology behind Fantastic Fanatics makes things so
simple for the supporter, as they can choose the association or club they want
to support, make a purchase at one of their favourite online retailers and
generate a commission, all with a few clicks of the mouse. Our in store
offering means registered retailers will automatically send a percentage of the
bill to the sports club – there is no extra card or app required. It’s business
as usual at the point of sale for the consumer and the retailer.
“Ultimately, Fantastic Fanatics enables sports clubs and
organisations to worry less about the finances and get on with what they do
best – delivering the benefits of sport to their fans, communities,
participants and members.”
Angela Johnston from GVRT stated:
“We are pleased that Linfield FC has invited us to be
involved as a beneficiary in this fundraising initiative. We, like Linfield,
are at the heart of the South Belfast community and it is great that we can
work together to improve the lives of the people that we serve.”
