National League CEO steps down from role

Mark Ives has stepped down as National League chief executive for personal and family reasons.

Ives joined the organisation in 2021 and replaced long-serving chief executive Michael Tattersall.

"I would like to put on record my personal thanks for what Mark has done over his time which has resulted in the League being in a strong position within the football family," said National League chairman Jack Pearce.

"He has helped facilitate positive and progressive change within the League and has made it his intention to support all 72 clubs in the best possible way, with the interest of the clubs and their communities at the forefront of his mind.

"Mark has assured me he will continue to support our level of the game long into the future."

During his time as chief executive, Ives has been involved agreeing a broadcast deal to live stream more National League matches and led a campaign calling for an extra promotion place to the English Football League.
