NWCFL and more than 60 clubs ask FA to reconsider Step 3-6 season cancellation
The North West Counties Football League have asked The FA to reconsider the decision to end the season for Step 3-6 clubs and expunge all results.
Chairman Paul Lawler has this morning confirmed via Twitter: “This morning, I submitted a letter to the FA on behalf of the Board of Directors of @nwcfl expressing our disappointment at the decision taken last week to null and void the season.
“We have asked questions about the decision-making process and asked the FA to reconsider the decision, as the integrity of football at our level has been destroyed. We will be publishing details on our website later but I have circulated it to our member clubs.
“We have also asked that clubs who have already gained promotion @Vauxhallmotorfc and @jersey_bulls be given priority should the opportunity arise to fill any vacancies at Step 5.”
Elsewhere South Shields have released a joint letter signed by over 60 clubs across the country questioning the decision to void the season at steps three to six of non-league, and at various levels of the women's game.
