Sheffield FC Chairman departs after 27 years at the club
Sheffield FC, the world's oldest football club, have confirmed that longstanding Chairman Richard Tims has left his role after 27 years.
The club, which currently plays in the Northern Premier League East Division, confirmed that Tims would be departing along with fellow Director Jim Harrison.
In a statement on the club's official website the club said 'We would like to take this opportunity to thank Richard for his dedication and invaluable contributions over the past 27 years. His efforts have been instrumental in shaping the club into what it is today, and without his commitment, Sheffield F.C. would not be in the position it holds, with 168 years of continuous history.'
The club also confirmed the appointment of Rob Hand as their new CEO, whilst also extending the contracts of management team Vill Powell and Louis Axcell until the end of the 2025/26 season.
The club has long term plans for a new stadium and are 'actively engaged in discussions with Sheffield City Council about the development plans for our future stadium.
We remain committed to ensuring that the new facility will meet the club's long-term needs and further enhance our standing within the community.'
