Stadia by GL events revamp Stockport County stand

The impressive Cheadle End at Edgeley Park Stadium, home to Stockport County Football Club, has capacity for 5,062 spectators.

As part of a series of essential upgrades, the club worked with Stadia by GL events to renew tired, worn-out seating components in this impressive stand.

In relation to the club’s investment in upgrading various aspects of Edgeley Park Stadium, Stockport County FC wanted to repair and replace existing seats in the Cheadle End Stand to give it a new lease of life. Over time, seats had become damaged, discoloured and were in a state of disrepair. Left unattended, the existing seating could have posed a significant safety issue for spectators.

With seating in the stand nearing end of life, Stadia by GL events approached Stockport County FC to supply new components, owing to a pre-existing relationship held with the club.

As a result, Stadia by GL events supplied new plastics and metalwork, to provide renewed longevity, durability and vibrance. The replacement seating components were specified in resplendent blue and white, fully in keeping with the club’s branding. As part of the process, Stockport were also grateful for the work ethic of Help the Hatters; a team of volunteers who assisted with installation.
