The BBC to resume full coverage of Scottish side Rangers following dispute with club
The BBC will be allowed to return to Ibrox and report on Rangers after the two parties settled an ongoing dispute.
The BBC haven't sent any journalists to cover events at the Glasgow club since 2015 after Rangers removed media privileges from a BBC sports journalist.
However the corporation appear to have resolved their issues with the club, releasing a statement that read,
"A disagreement between BBC Scotland and Rangers FC has limited the BBC's ability to report from Ibrox Stadium for a long period of time. The BBC and Rangers have now agreed it is in the best interest of the BBC's audiences and Rangers fans everywhere for the BBC to resolve the dispute and to provide the fullest possible coverage of all Rangers matches."
The statement added: "The BBC acknowledges that there have been occasions when parts of the coverage of Rangers FC have not met its editorial standards. It has apologised for those instances and is happy to repeat those apologies now."
Rangers meanwhile said the following: "We acknowledge the recognition of past errors and the apology from BBC Scotland and the recent apology from Michael Stewart. Reporting of football matches at Ibrox will recommence at the beginning of season 2022/23."
