The Difference Group announced as catering partners of Salford City

Salford City have announced that The Difference Group as their new catering partner.

A leader in hospitality and events, The Difference Group will be responsible for the catering operations across The Peninsula Stadium, including managing the concourses on matchdays and the Club’s hospitality offerings.

Throughout the summer Salford City have been working hard to enhance the infrastructure in all areas of The Peninsula Stadium, with the aim of providing an efficient and enjoyable matchday experience for their supporters.

One area they have asked The Difference Group to help was to accommodate some of the bespoke and unique offerings that The Ammies have previously provided, in a more consistent manner across the ground. From this season they will be serving a diverse range of products, sourced from largely local suppliers, with more exciting ideas in the works.

Some of those suppliers include Grandad’s Sausages, Greenhalgh’s Bakery, and HM Pasties, with beer options from Seven Bro7hers and Shindigger.

In addition to their supplier request, they have also worked closely with The Difference Group to help the club activate their Environmental Policy that was published earlier in 2023. Some of the ways in which they will achieve this include plant-based packaging for bottled water; cups and packaging is veg ware which means it is compostable, and cutlery is wooden rather than single-use plastic.

Director of Operations, Dan Schofield, commented:

“Listening to feedback from supporters throughout last season, we identified providing a more consistent food and drink offering to supporters across the ground as a priority this summer and after a number of meetings we felt that The Difference Group were able to come and help us to deliver this from 2023-24.

“The team have worked hard across the ground during the summer in readiness for Saturday, and we are delighted with the way they have adapted and taken on board our requests to continue supporting and championing local suppliers, whilst keeping in line with our Environmental Policy.”

We are first and foremost sports fans, and will be using this insight to ensure all fans at The Peninsula Stadium are offered consistent service at every game.”
