The Third Round is where the big boys from the top two leagues join the clubs from Leagues One and Two as well as the surviving non-league clubs who have battled their way through.

Those clubs hope for a dream tie such as Chesterfield's trip to Champions League winners Chelsea on Saturday, and the chance to cause an upset or line the coffers by earning a replay.

However that will not be the case this year, with so many league games having been postponed due to Covid outbreaks, replays in the Third and Fourth Round have been scrapped to help deal with the backlog of fixtures.

So it's all or nothing this weekend, with extra time and penalties to decide any games that end level. Clubs can also name nine substitutes, with five able to come on.

There are two fixtures in Wales this weekend where restrictions on crowds mean they will essentially be played behind closed doors, with only 50 fans allowed to watch Swansea v Southampton on Saturday and Cardiff v Preston on Sunday.

Let's hope that despite the unique circumstances the magic of the FA Cup will still be on display over the next few days.
