UCFB become higher education partner of Watford
UCFB (University Campus of Football Business) is pleased to announce we will be the official higher education partner of Watford Football Club for the 2020-21 season.
The UCFB logo will appear during matchdays at Vicarage Road; including on pitch-facing LED and interview backdrops for the duration of this current Sky Bet EFL Championship campaign.
Building on an existing relationship between the organisations, the new partnership brings it all together within an all-encompassing agreement.
Hornets' Commercial Director Paul O’Brien said: “We're delighted to be continuing our relationship with UCFB. Over the last four years, we have enjoyed an excellent working relationship, and this partnership shows our dedication to continue to grow the association.
“UCFB students are a huge part of this club, from our Sponsorship & Partnership Account Manager who graduated from UCFB to a huge number of current students and alumni who work for the club on matchdays. We are always hugely impressed by the UCFB students and the extensive knowledge they have learned as part of their studies so we're very proud to be a small but hopefully significant part of this.”
UCFB is dedicated to the delivery of ground-breaking undergraduate degree programmes in the football and sports industry and earlier this year also announced the launch of the Global Institute of Sport (GIS) – its dedicated new home for Masters degrees and executive education, to further expand its educational offering in the UK, online and abroad.
Commenting on the partnership, UCFB Governor Sharona Friedman added: “All of us at UCFB are excited to join forces with a proud and historic football club like Watford.
“This will allow our students even greater opportunities to hear from those that work in the higher echelons of the game and gain a greater understanding of what it takes to work in the football industry.”
